What wondrous life is this I lead!
Ripe apples drop about my head;
The luscious clusters of the vine
Upon my mouth do crush their wine;
The nectarine and curious peach
Into my hands themselves do reach;
Stumbling on melons, as I pass,
Ensnared with flowers, I fall on grass.

Wild Mushrooms & truffles
Scottish girolles.
Canadian morels.
Summer truffles continue and are at their best. Next fresh product will be Uncinatum or Autumn truffle around mid September.
Fruits
Massive range of local and exotic options.
Wild strawberries back on track and their cross bred larger cousin Mara should hit their second flush by the end of the week with some sunshine.
Cherry quality is peaking as the Kentish crop is in full swing. I tell the farmer each morning how many I want and he picks to order for delivery to us overnight
Vegetables
Marsh samphire from Norfolk
Fresh coco blanc beans in full flow now.
August will bring us the following seasonal highlights;
Black figs
Flavour packed Muscat grapes
Plums a plenty. Greengages are around now but too tart
Fully grown candy and golden beets
Pied de mouton & possibly some early giant puffball mushrooms
Cob nuts from Kent
Game. We add hare and venison to our offering this year from Scotland
